Hi, my name is Luka. I'm a master student following the IMBRSea (International Master of Science in Marine Biological Resources) program who is passionate about biodiversity and taxonomy of the benthos of polar regions.
I did my professional practice in the Zoology lab which is part of the department of life science in the Polytechnic University of Marche, Italy, under the supervision of PhD student Camilla Roveta.
I identified different types of Hydrozoans in two different projects. (Click on the boxes to learn more)
I enjoyed my Professional Practice very much! One of the biggest advantages of this internship was that I learned so many new techniques I can use in the future. I loved using the SEM, learning how to prepare permanent slides, identifying Rhysia by completely describing its cnidome, and the Radiolarian by trying to visualize spicules.
Another thing I really loved, was the fact that i got to meet so many new people and learn about their projects.
And finally i want to say a huge thank you to Camilla, Carlo, and Pamela for guiding me through this internship, teaching me so much and just in general being amazing people to work with. They really made my internship so much more fun.
